Happy Halloween

Well i made it through another Halloween...at work at least. My group had the creative idea of decorating our cubes like the arcade game Wack-A-Mole. You know the game where moles pop out of their holes and you bash their skulls with a mallet? Yea we were the moles...and our cubes were our holes. There was a ginormous mallet that one of my supes made out of leather and cotton stuffing. The idea was grand. Just sucks i had to wear denim overalls, plaid shirt, rodent nose, geek glasses and a construction hat. Yea i'll leave that to your imagination and ill put up a picture tomorrow if i have any. We didn't win the decorating contest which convinces me that every year it's been rigged!! It just wouldn't surprise me that's all.

One thing that kept me somewhat entertained was the akward comments that came out of people mouths. Comments that to some corrupted minds could be interpreted as uber perverted. Comments such as "Oh can i wack you?" while another person reiterating the comment with "HAHAH She wants to wack you!!" could potentially draw a perverted picture in the minds of some. And then there was another comment of "Who's banging on my hole?" with a reply of "Yea that was me banging on your hole". The double meanings were confirmed by other parties at my work place so it definitely was NOT just me.

At the end of the day, it was a fun entertaining day. A lot of people dressed up and showed a lot of Halloween spirit and it definitely made the workplace a much more enjoyable place to do business. Although how much actual business work was done is another question and answer. All that matters is today is the end of October. Tomorrow is November 1st 2006. 60 days left until 2007. Now that's scary!! I'm starting to be a believer that after the age of 21 time flies twice as fast. Think about it...

Day 2 back at work…I think after the cruise, I’m more inspired and more motivated to do the damn thing and keep moving. I can’t stay stagnant, I have to keep moving. If this company won’t give me the opportunity to, then so be it, but I have to keep moving. Like the song says…..”Everyday I’m hustling” and by the way “hustling” doesn’t have to be a rap reference or a drug reference….hustling is getting paid….any means necessary…it’s what drives the millionaires of the world today. Donald Trump is one of the biggest hustlers in world history. At the same time money doesn’t rule the world, and money can’t buy happiness….BUT….money makes living easier…money makes it so you don’t have to work as hard and in turn you have time to enjoy life. When I started working after graduating college, it hit me pretty hard realizing that I’m going to be working 9-5 for nearly the rest of my life. For what? To live, to survive and to provide for a family. On the cruise we met a friend named Jason. One night at dinner he said something like “I would be completely happy living in a small hut on the beach, growing and hunting my own food”. I’ve said something similar in the past about living life as simple as possible with minimal materialistic things. It’s a nice idealistic image. But how plausible is it? In the end you’ll still need money for the bare necessities. I can’t grow toilet paper, and I’m not about to use a leaf. Got to stay motivated.

And I’m back….man was it hard bringing my ass to work this morning…..only good thing is IT’S COLD!! After 5 days in the Bahamas, coming back to TAMPA and having COLD weather is a nice change…..on top of that the Bucs did their THANG on Sunday!! It was damn nice representing the bucs hardcore on the cruise and getting a lot of responses….there are a lot of bucs fans in the Bahamas!

But now it’s back to work…. I’ll upload our pictures and post em sometime soon. Should be some good ones…until then it’s back to this work catching up on errrrrthang!

The countdown begins

It's 2:30pm....5 more hours and then i'm done.....i get to get away from my cube for 5 whole freaking days....oh man...that sounds nice just typing it out lol.....i still have to go home and pack and go to walmart to get last minute supplies though...i'm such a guy....but guys take less than 30 minutes to pack for a trip....it's so easy....i'm ready...no wait i'm not, still gotta buy a few bottles of liquor to bring...

in the end...my cubicle and I need a vacation from each other...we've been having issues, the cube wants me to clean my desk and i refuse...the cube wants me to stop eating at my desk and i refuse...the cube doesn't like it when i visit other people's cubes, even though im visiting the people and not their cubes...the cube needs a few days to cool off and i need a few days to get krunk in the middle of the ocean...goodbye cube...cya in FIVE FREAKING DAYS!!

Mundane Munday

Another mundane munday in the office….it’s 12:12pm and I’m still in the cube….I have to pull 10 hour days today, tomorrow and Wednesday so I’ll have close enough to 40 hrs by the time Thursday comes so I can go on my CRUISE TO THE BAHAMAS!! Yayer! Me and the whoaman are going for 4 days. I hope to be extremely inebriated for the majority of the cruise. After the cruise, that leaves me with 2 vacation days left for the year, I’m hoping to make it up to visit my cousin in Philly with those 2 days.

Oh yea some drama…i smell a conspiracy in the HR department because when I went to look at my employee profile, it’s supposed to show the jobs you’ve applied for…well according to that I’ve only applied for one job in 2006, the rest of the list are the jobs I applied for in 2005, so for some reason the jobs I’ve applied to and had interviews for this year are not showing, and yes I smell a conspiracy….now granted some at this company already think I’m a mole or a spy of some kind….but as Big Perm may have put it in another world “messing with my employee profile, is like messing with my emotions” something is afoot!!

However to make this Monday not so Monday like, the TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS finally won a game yesterday in TAMPA at RAYMOND JAMES STADIUM (a.k.a. The Crown Jewel of the NFL) against the Cincinnati Bengals. Thank God! It’s about time too! Like I said, we just got our losses out of the way, it’s all wins from here on out!!

Mmm Hooters

Just got back from a Business lunch meeting at Hooters with Pucky...shared some good ideas about opening up shop...ordered 50 wings for 2 people...didn't finish.....yeaaaa we did it right !! Ended up being 30 minutes late clocking back in from lunch. So now i should (emphasis on SHOULD) stay 30 min late after work.....yeaaaaa......

Today is also the birthday of the lady in the cube next to me, so there are all these balloons and streamers hanging over the side of her cube and into mine....it's distracting because it's all colorful and vibrant and festive. And i haven't heard anyone say Happy Birthday to her yet lol.....oh what a Fried Day!

Friday the who?

The 13th of October...happens to be Friday the 13th. Woo hooo!! A night of mischievious behavior all around the world. For me it will include a night of good music in orlando when i go see my old roomate's band PSYCHO PHARM peform at the Emergenza Battle of the Bands. But for now it's 8:45am and i have to do some work...yea right...no for real...shyeahh...ooookaayyyy!
